Careers at TAC4 Solutions
Lead Complex Projects Drive Real Change
Where Complex Projects Actually Succeed
We work with insurance clients where environments can be stressful and stakes are high. We succeed because we hire the best, empower them to lead, and surround ourselves with people who are deeply experienced, self-directed, and take pride in their work.
In return, you get real authority, meaningful impact, and the chance to grow in ways that matter. If you want to do work that changes how things operate, alongside people who are genuinely excellent at what they do, and you’re wired to lead and take ownership, this is the place.
Project Leadership Plus. Much Plus.
TAC4 is looking for a Projenomics Consultant to lead some of the most complex and humanly difficult projects inside insurance organizations.
These are not typical project management roles. This is leadership work, relationship work, systems thinking, and decision making under pressure. If you are looking for guardrails, narrow scope, or a role where someone else owns the hard parts, this will not be a fit.
TAC4 Solutions is always looking for talented people with at least 10 years of experience leading complex insurance projects, teams, systems, or organizational initiatives. Our consultants lead large system implementations where failure is common and consequences are real:
- General ledgers
- Policy administration systems
- Financial and reporting platforms that touch every part of an organization
The technology matters. People matter more. Most projects fail because of culture, misalignment, weak leadership, and unspoken issues. Your job is to make sure that does not happen.
What You Will Actually Do
Own the Work
- Lead projects end to end with real authority and accountability
- Make hundreds of decisions without escalating to TAC4 leadership
- Bring forward problems only after thinking through options and implications
Read People. Earn Trust. Find What Others Miss.
- Interview dozens, sometimes hundreds, of stakeholders
- Listen deeply, earn trust quickly, and notice what others miss
- Bring insights into project artifacts, conversations, and decisions
- Connect dots that no one else sees
Set the Tone. Drive Behavior.
- Define how the project team operates
- Model and enforce TAC4’s Nine Ground Rules for Cohesive Team Behavior
- Surface hard issues early and address conflict directly
- Prevent dysfunction from taking root
Lead the Room
- Run meetings at every level—from staff accountants to executives to boards
- Know when to speak, when to pause, when to push, and when to hold back
- Go to hard topics—never around them
Guide Systems and Decisions
- Lead system design and process decisions
- Develop working knowledge of data architecture, integrations, reporting, and future-state design
- Challenge vendors and protect the client
- Never allow a lift-and-shift approach because it is easier
See Risk Early. Act Before It Shows.
- Identify and neutralize project pitfalls before they surface
- Stay ahead of issues rather than reacting to them
Sustain Intensity
- Work long, focused hours
- Bring presence, energy, and sustained attention
- Stay deeply embedded with client teams and show up fully
What This Role Is Not
- Not task tracking
- Not a vendor-managed project role
- Not for someone who avoids conflict
- Not for someone who hides behind process or documentation
What Makes Someone Successful Here
- Experience leading complex, high-stakes projects where people, data, systems, and politics collide
- Ability to operate both in the weeds and at a strategic level
- Strong instincts for people; ability to accurately read rooms
- Willingness to slow conversations down to uncover truth
- Exceptional attention to detail and relentless follow-through
- Confidence pushing back on vendors; refusal to outsource leadership
- Deep belief that team behavior determines project success
Insurance experience is a plus, not a requirement. What matters more is the ability to learn fast, think clearly, and lead well.
What This Role Will Change About You
If you thrive here, you will:
- Never see teams the same way again
- Experience what it looks like when trust is real and behavior is intentional
- Learn the power of the pause in interviews and meetings
- Become far more confident in high-pressure environments
- Realize how much you are capable of when expectations are high and support is real
Many people leave this role knowing they can never go back to environments where politics, blame, and mediocrity are tolerated.
